Dog Rescue Dunedin has been set up to foster and re-home dogs that have been left unwanted at the Dunedin City Council pound. Dogs seized by Animal Control are held at the DCC Pound for 7 days. If unclaimed they are available for adoption directly from the pound, but many are left unwanted, and are destined to be “put down”.
