Fatz” aka “Dog” arrived at Queenstown Airport mid-November with the prospect of becoming and Aviation Security Explosives Detector Dog.
The first test “Dog” had to pass was a name test. With some consideration “Dog” had a name change and with “Dog’s” permission we now call him “Max”. Max was kindly provided by my 2 year old daughter.
We are pleased to say that after a two week assessment Max is now in the Aviation Security Service Detector Dog Programme. Max still has a long road ahead of him, but we are pretty confident he will make the grade and become an operational Explosive Detector Dog.
Well done Max, Dog Rescue Dunedin and Max’s foster family, your efforts are appreciated. Go Max!
